Our Story

The Dam Boathouse has been striving to help Lake Monroe boaters enjoy the water since 2008.

Since Dave purchased The Dam Boathouse, they have continued to add services and build their reputation around the lake. The Dam Boathouse is a small but growing team with high aspirations.

Owning a boat can be stressful, and time consuming. We know how precious your time is and we hope to help you eliminate the stress and get every second of lake time with your friends and family that you aspire to. Call Dave or Dustin at The Dam Boathouse to discuss all of your boat care needs.

Our People

Dave

Dave has been the owner of The Dam Boathouse since 2008. Dave spends most of his time at his desk conversing with customers, ordering parts, and making sure that his employees have the necessary tools and atmosphere to complete their tasks. Dave and his wife Shelley enjoy their weekends out on the lake on the Keli Mae.

Dustin

Dustin, Dave's son, has been working at The Dam Boathouse for over 4 years as the Operations and Quality Control Manger. When Dustin isn’t at the shop working on a boat or talking to customers, you can find him working on lifts or completing other dock work. Dustin and his wife Stephanie enjoy their weekends going out on their Regal to wakeboard or cruise around.

Royce

“The wizard” Royce has been a Marine Mechanic for over forty years. Royce and Dave met when they were both working at anchor marine. Royce is an Integral part of the boathouse team. Royce spends his days diagnosing, mentoring, teaching, and problem solving with the team. Royce enjoys his boats, fishing, and vintage camping.

Tony

Tony has been working at The Dam Boathouse since 2017. Tony spends most of his days at the shop completing various tasks. Tony enjoys his weekends working on his truck, playing his favorite video game, and spending time with his family.

Ellie

Ellie oversees employee relations. She enjoys walking around the shop making sure that the team’s morale is high, as well as making sure that she gets plenty of pets.

George

George oversees the pest control and security of the Boathouse. He has been a member of the boathouse since December of 2020. George spends his days patrolling the grounds when he isn’t napping in the office.

Grace

Gracie is our most experienced customer service representative. She is always the first to greet customers. Gracie is always ready jump in a truck and go to the lake or go on a boat ride.
